Marshawn Lynch had a big day, but it wasn't enough to avoid a close loss for the Seahawks against the 49ers, 19-17, at home.
Tarvaris Jackson went 15 out of 28 for 163 yards passing, one touchdown and one fumble. Alex Smith completed 14 of 26 passes for 179 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions for the 49ers.
Lynch was a standout player for the Seahawks, rushing for 107 yards on 21 attempts with a touchdown in addition to two receptions for 24 yards. Ricardo Lockette caught one ball for 44 yards.
The Seattle defense surrendered 171 yards passing and 178 rushing. They sacked Smith two times.
49ers running back Frank Gore racked up 83 yards rushing, 13 receiving and one touchdown. Wide receiver Michael Crabtree was also solid with 85 receiving yards.
The Seahawks travel to Glendale next week to meet the Cardinals (7-8) while the 49ers visit St. Louis to take on the Rams (2-13).
